MSB LAB at IITI

Prof. Baig was invited to Harvard Medical School for potential research collaborations and academic partnerships. 

As part of the visit, Prof. Baig delivered a lecture under the Immunology Program at the Ragon Institute of Mass General Brigham, MIT, and Harvard. His talk, titled “Inflammation: Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutics,” focused on recent therapeutic advances in chronic inflammatory diseases and cancer.

During his time at Harvard, Prof. Baig actively engaged with members of the Immunology faculty, contributing to enriching discussions and the exchange of cutting-edge scientific insights.

My project was titled "Simultaneous Targeting of TIRAP and RIPK2: An Effective Approach for the Treatment of Chronic Inflammatory Diseases." This one-year journey has been full of ups and downs and challenges. It was a transformative and great learning experience. Apart from the hands-on work, the regular scientific discussions in the lab were incredibly helpful in boosting my knowledge and broadening my perspective. I am deeply grateful to my supervisor for their constant guidance and support throughout this journey. I also want to extend my gratitude to my labmates for creating a friendly and supportive lab environment. This project has been an enriching learning journey that has significantly contributed to my personal and academic growth.

Prof. Mirza S. Baig Receives KPR Legacy Award 2025 for Excellence in Research

Prof. Mirza S. Baig has been honored with the KPR Legacy Award 2025 in the category of Excellence in Research, in recognition of his remarkable contributions and outstanding achievements in the field. The award was conferred by the Executive Committee of the KPR Legacy Awards 2025 at KPR Institutions, Coimbatore, on May 24, 2025.

Prof. Baig was invited by the School of Medicine at Indiana University, Indianapolis. The visit was hosted by Prof. Alexander Obukhov, a renowned scientist in the field of cardiovascular diseases.

"I am deeply grateful to Prof. Obukhov for the kind invitation and warm hospitality. This was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with faculty and students," Prof. Baig remarked.

The visit marks another step forward in building international academic partnerships and advancing collaborative research in the field of cardiovascular diseases.
