During the recent academic visit to the United States, Prof. Mirza S. Baig visited Tufts University – Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences as a Visiting Professor, invited by Prof. Linden Hu under the Tufts Immunology Program.

He delivered a seminar titled “Targeting ‘Malfunction’ in Chronic Inflammation,” discussing molecular causes of chronic inflammation and emerging treatments. The session sparked engaging discussions among faculty, researchers, and students.

Prof. Baig also exchanged ideas with the immunology faculty and learned about their ongoing research. The visit was well-received and helped strengthen academic ties and collaborative opportunities.

Prof. Mirza S. Baig visited Rutgers Health – New Jersey Medical School during his recent academic visit to the United States. He delivered a lecture on the topic “Emerging Molecular Pathways and Targeted Therapies in Chronic Inflammatory Disorders.”

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to engage with both basic scientists and clinicians, fostering insightful discussions and meaningful knowledge exchange. Prof. Baig extends his sincere thanks to all the attendees for sharing their research and perspectives.

SIMATS-Future Tech Talk 2025  “TARGETING 'MAL FUNCTIONS' IN CHRONIC INFLAMMATION” Resource Person Dr. Mirza S. Baig Professor IIT, Indore

Mr. Khandu Wadhonkar, a research scholar from the MSBLab@IITI, recently presented his work on the identification of novel molecular mechanisms underlying macrophage phenotypic changes during colorectal cancer progression at the EVOLVE 2025 conference, organized by the Indian Society for Extracellular Vesicles (InSEV) at AIIMS, New Delhi (March 24–26, 2025). His research excellence also earned him the Travel Award to participate in the conference.

Mr. Kundan Solanki, a PMRF fellow from the MSB Lab, presented his research on designing peptide-based therapeutics for atherosclerosis at the PMRF Symposium 2025, held at IIT Hyderabad on March 16-17, 2025. The symposium highlighted research from distinguished scholars at prominent institutes and featured key plenary talks by esteemed scientists.
